Why Psychic-Mediumship? A Quick Story...

One day, at The Purple Door, one of our readers, Maureen, asked Connie, “What’s new?”  Without thinking—and for no apparent reason—Connie smiled and replied, “Happy Birthday!”  A bit puzzled by her own response, Connie asked, “Wait...is it your birthday?”  Maureen smiled and said, “No...it’s my mom’s birthday today.”  Her mother had passed.  She continued, “This morning I found a white feather outside my doorway and said, ‘Happy Birthday, Mom.’ I was hoping she heard me.”  Maybe she did.

And that's really the point.

This happens not because we are “psychic-mediums.” It happens because human beings have a natural capacity for intuitive and prophetic awareness.

The Bible itself names prophecy as one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps what we call intuition, gut feelings, hunches, dreams, that “small voice,” synchronicities, or even more developed mediumistic experiences are simply different expressions of our capacity to connect with information beyond what our five senses immediately provide.

It’s natural.

And like many natural abilities, it can be developed, understood, and used thoughtfully—for the good of ourselves and others.

Our focus in psychic-mediumship is not about creating something mysterious or making people dependent upon us. It is about education, awareness, perspective, healing, confirmation, and empowerment—learning to recognize and trust the connections that may already be present in everyday life.

Knowledge is power. Connection is joy.
