The Reading is a Conversation by Susan Fiandach and Connie Wake
While “psychic” generally refers to information connected with those living, and “medium” refers to information connected with those who have passed, we believe that ultimately information is information—regardless of the source we trust.
We trust that the highest purpose of this information is found through the power of the soul and through God. We work through that Light with the intention of bringing forward what can best serve the client: insight, understanding, perspective, comfort, confidence, validation, and perhaps even a little more peace.
The Reading Is a Conversation
The conversation—also known as a reading—with a psychic-medium can be viewed as an extension of your small voice.
It is that quiet part of you that knows more than your conscious mind is currently working with.
We all have thoughts, feelings, experiences, memories, impressions, and understandings moving beneath the surface of everyday awareness. Sometimes we know something without knowing exactly how we know it. Sometimes we feel something but have not yet found the words to express it. Sometimes we simply need to hear something said out loud before we can fully recognize its value.
That is where the conversation begins.
The psychic-medium becomes part of that conversation—grabbing onto information, impressions, perspectives, and connections and bringing them out loud. Sometimes the information reflects your present life. Sometimes it offers a perspective connected with experiences of the past. And sometimes it brings forward the continuing influence, love, personality, or memories of lives once lived.
If you allow the conversation process to take place, you may amaze yourself with what comes forward.
Not simply because someone has “told you something,” but because something may suddenly make sense.
Something may be validated.
Something you already knew quietly may finally be acknowledged.
Something you were uncertain about may be seen from another perspective.
And sometimes, something you were not quite ready to say to yourself may finally be heard.
A Reading Is Not About Giving Away Your Power
A psychic-medium reading is at its best when it is not approached as someone else taking control of your decisions.
If you enter a reading expecting someone to tell you exactly what to do, you may unintentionally limit the very conversation that could provide the greatest value.
Your life is still your life.
Your choices are still your choices.
And your personal authority remains exactly where it belongs—with you.
Sometimes we want an answer before we are ready to understand the question. We want someone to tell us which road to take without being willing to explore why we are standing at the crossroads in the first place.
That does not mean you cannot ask the big questions!
Ask them!
But allow the reader the opportunity to delve into the conversation surrounding those questions. The greatest value may not always be found in a simple yes or no. Sometimes the real insight is found in understanding the circumstances, emotions, patterns, possibilities, or personal choices surrounding the answer.
And yes—occasionally the conversation may bring forward something you were not expecting to hear.
That, too, can have value.
Information does not have to be what we want to hear in order to give us perspective. Sometimes the most meaningful insight is the one that invites us to look again, think differently, become more aware, or recognize the strength we already possess.
Getting the Most from Your Reading
1. Bring both sides of your brain to the conversation.
Come with an open mind—but also with your ability to think, question, reflect, and engage. A reading is not intended to be a passive experience. Be part of the conversation.
2. Ask for specifics if you wish—but be ready for the conversation around them.
You can absolutely ask the questions that matter to you. Just remember that the most valuable information may sometimes be found in why the answer is not as simple as you hoped—or why there may be more for you to understand before the answer becomes clear.
3. Trust the process—but do not give away your power.
The reader trusts the process of receiving and communicating information. Your role is to listen, consider, question, and decide what the information means within your own life and experience.
When both people allow the process to unfold, a reading can become something much more meaningful than simply receiving answers.
It can become a conversation.
A conversation with perspective.
A conversation with validation.
A conversation with comfort.
A conversation with confidence.
And perhaps most importantly—a conversation that allows the wisdom and expression of your own soul to be heard a little more clearly.
Because sometimes the greatest value of a reading is not that someone else tells you who you are, what you should do, or where you are going.
Sometimes the greatest value is hearing—perhaps for the first time—what your own soul has been trying to say out loud.
Knowledge is power. Connection is joy. Conversation gives it a voice.
