We provide psychic readings through our psychic center, in private and party services, and at psychic fairs. There is an increasing popularity of getting a psychic-medium reading that is going beyond someone wanting to explore the fringe of new age mysticism.
People have been exposed to psychic-medium readings on TV, most notably John Edward, who brought a down-to-earthness about the psychic service. The content of his readings allows the client to identify with the source, whether it is the person themselves or a loved one who has passed. This evidence solidifies the connection, and the reading brings forth insight, empowerment, and messages of comfort.
We are seeing that there are more and more people who seek their first psychic-medium reading. Some of the main reasons include the impact of a life event, such as a death of a dear loved one, to the need to find out what is causing apparent paranormal instances.
Here are a few tips for your first psychic-medium reading:
First and foremost, be sure to understand the type of information that will be shared in the reading:
- Psychic – is information about the client, the living.
- Medium – is information from those who have passed.
- Clairvoyant, Clairaudient, Empath, etc., are not types of information, but how the information is being received, e.g., through vision, hearing, feeling, etc.
- Spiritual Counselor/Advisor/Teacher – this is information from the perspective of the beliefs of the reader in a new age/religious context which may include chakras, spirit guides, dimensions, galactic beings, Atlantis, as examples.
- Health Intuitive – this is information reading the client’s overall health and should be done by a trained health intuitive.
- Past Lives / Akashic Records – is information of reincarnation, and how that information relates to your current life.
Ask if you can record your reading (if not done so already by the reader) on a voice record app on your cell phone. This is especially helpful to re-listen to all the information that was shared and pick up what may have been missed, as the reading is not a nicely flowing sermon, but the ebb and flow of bits of interpretation and dialogue.
Let the reader know this is your first reading. The reader can then describe the reading process and be sure to avoid “psychic jargon” to be sure the information is understandable.
And ask questions for clarity. If the reader asks, “does not make sense…do you know who the Spirit might be?” simply respond, “yes, no or not sure…need more info.” This allows the reader to go deeper into the connection.
Know that the reading is for you, and if you want to hear, or don’t want to hear, from a certain loved one OR on deeply personal topics, let the reader know as soon as they are brought up…right then and there. Do not wait until after an uncomfortable reading to say something to the reader.
On the other side of that is to release the expectation that the reader knows your destiny and solves your problems. The reader does not impose their version of reality onto the client. Free will and choice is the client’s power to think through their dramas and adventures. Through an unbiased connection to the soul…to Spirit...the reader can provide insights and perspectives so that the next step can be thought through, decided, and engaged.
And finally, a reading should be enjoyable…hearing from a loved one passed…and/or provide insights and validations for you to consider. Relax, be open to what the Universe and your Soul want to say and know that you, the customer, is the purpose for the reading service.
