Wikipedia: Consciousness, at its simplest, is awareness of internal and external existence.
Our experiences in psychic-medium work have shown us that consciousness provides a realm of information from the internal and external existence…from a living and deceased existence. Consciousness is the source where the energy of information is housed and conveyed. It is within this realm of Consciousness that we naturally receive intuitive thoughts of people, places, and things around us. This conversation of consciousness during a reading connects these two worlds to gain insight, validation, and comfort, and peace of mind.
This is to say that it’s not about being a psychic-medium but being psychic-mediumistic in how we view and engage the world through our intuitive nature of consciousness. Dr. Iain McGilchrist theorizes that the right hemisphere of the brain handles not only the role of intuitive and imaginative interpretation but the relationship power of conscious and subconscious thought in a wholistic way to wholistically comprehend our reality. It sees the bigger picture, consciously and subconsciously…internal and external…matter and energy…about who we are and what we are doing as human beings.
We see the nature of consciousness as infinite, unconditional, and unlimited and our intuition as the language to access the information that lives there. And like any language, once we learn, practice, and grow it we can use it to understand and communicate. This language informs us of sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and feeling (as emotion) that can be translated into cues, clues, and insights about the people and the world around us. Then, as Dr. McGilchrist offers, our brain gives us the ability to mine—and mind—the depth of the conscious and sub-conscious information, allowing us to have a person-to-person, soul-to-soul relationship and live a powerful 360 reality of spirit, mind, and body.
