Introduction to Astrology – Part 2:  Beyond the Birth Chart: Understanding Planetary Relationships and Timing

Ready to take the next step in your astrology journey? Building on the foundation established in Introduction to Astrology – Part 1, this three-session course explores how planets interact with one another, how their ongoing movements influence your life, and how astrology can provide insight into personal growth and life cycles.

Session I – Planetary Aspects: The Language Between the Planets

We'll begin with a brief review of the foundational concepts  and from there, we'll explore the major planetary aspects—the energetic relationships between planets that create harmony, challenge, motivation, and opportunity within a birth chart. Learn the meaning and interpretation of conjunctions, oppositions, trines, squares, sextiles, and quincunxes (inconjuncts), and discover how these patterns shape personality and life experiences.

Session II – Planetary Transits: Astrology in Motion

Your birth chart is a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born, but the planets continue to move throughout your lifetime. In this session, you'll learn how planetary transits activate your natal chart, highlighting periods of change, growth, challenge, and opportunity. We'll explore how to recognize significant transits and use them as practical tools for understanding the timing of life's unfolding experiences.

Session III – Life Cycles and Continuing Your Study

Our final session introduces the Lunar Nodes and the Progressed Moon, two important techniques that offer insight into soul growth, evolving life themes, and emotional development over time. We'll conclude by exploring trusted books, websites, software, and other resources that can help you continue your astrology studies with confidence long after the class ends.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Astrology – Part 1 or a basic understanding of astrology fundamentals.

As a small education center, The Purple Door and our instructors rely on the registration process. If the minimum number of registrations is not met, the class will be cancelled/rescheduled and refunds provided. There are no refunds for registrant cancellations within 48 hours of class time; or for no-shows.
