This workshop will give participants an introduction to painting with the beautiful and translucent medium of watercolors. Each week we will work on learning several new techniques that will make your watercolors shine! Each week will begin with a demonstration, information and practice with techniques, and time to utilize the techniques introduced along with painting practice time.

Throughout our time together each participant will learn a wonderful selection of watercolor techniques, try a variety of materials and papers, and likely discover what materials work best for them. This workshop will give each participant a good foundation in which to move forward.

Class fee includes materials so participants will have their own supplies to practice in between workshop meetings. Experience is the very best teacher!

Scheduling/Cancellation/Refund Policy:
As a small education center, The Purple Door and our instructors rely on the registration process. If the minimum number of registrations is not met , the class will be cancelled/rescheduled and refunds provided. There are no refunds for registrant cancellations within 48 hours of class time; or for no-shows. 

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:  Susan Carmen-Duffy is an award-winning mixed-media artist with over 40 years of experience. She believes that art has the power to express, inspire, and bring beauty into our lives. She facilitates workshops to help participants discover their own artistic potential. Susan strives to create a supportive and encouraging environment where workshop members can learn and grow as artists.
