She began studying shamanism under the direction of Dr. Cecile Carson in 2009 and after several years of training, completed an apprenticeship and became an elder in the community.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe is the owner of Monarch Integrative Care, LLC in Brighton, NY and has been with the Palliative Care Team at the University of Rochester Medical Center for over twenty years. She is a level two Reiki practitioner, trained in Therapeutic Touch, is certified in Somatic Therapy for trauma, and is a grief specialist.
