Psychic-Mediumship deals with all forms of our intrinsic connection to the seen and unseen worlds around us. From our natural intuition to sensitive, empathic responses to deep trance states, psychic-mediumship is the overarching process of receiving, interpreting, and delivering information through us without an understanding of how that connection works. And the key to all of it is Trust: Trust in yourself, trust in your mentors, trust in the information, trust in Spirit, and trust in your client.
Trust in Yourself
Trusting yourself is probably the most challenging of the trust processes. We continually get caught up in what we cannot do, cannot know, cannot understand. We are so worried that the client will say “no” to our offerings, or we will be wrong that we limit ourselves to avoid feeling like a fool. Why are all these fears in ourselves?
We may have been conditioned to believe that to be wrong is to be ashamed, embarrassed, and pitied. It lies in a very deep emotional area for us from our earliest days as a child—to hear a resounding NO when reaching for a breakable item; or DO NOT touch, go, do or be as we learned what was too hot, too cold, too dangerous, etc. This volume of NO continued in our school days, experiencing public humiliation for offering an incorrect answer to the teacher’s question. It is human nature to avoid risk and we transfer this NO behavior as being safe, and to avoid remembering past embarrassing or risky experiences.

Beyond the “NO” there is hope and faith as a firm belief in something for which there is no proof. The great philosophers and gurus of the world spoke of the great Source of power, love and wisdom and our connection to it, indeed it is within all of us. We can hold onto the hope that the information we are searching for and receive offers healing, peace, and comfort for another, and there is no reason to question it. Our intention as readers, and in our service, is in this goodness, and there is no reason to distrust this intention. Look forward to what you can achieve with trust and believe in yourself.
Trust your Mentors
As psychic-mediums we are life-long learners, and the diligent psychic-medium has chosen a path to hone the natural abilities of energy information through education and continuous improvement toward the highest and best expression of Spirit information. Choosing the person or group that you resonate with is important in your personal and professional growth. It should “fit like a comfortable jacket” and one that you feel great in. Your mentor should not only help you find your inner knowledge and ability but should be able to rejoice in your growth. A good mentor is one who helps you to see through your fears, doubts and works with you to achieve your best, through it all, supporting you when you feel most vulnerable. Choose a mentor that stands the test of time, experience, knowledge, and honesty. One who “talks the talk, walks the walk, and walks the talk!” as shown by their ethical service, successful reputation, and respected following.
Trust the information is Trust Spirit
The foundation of this trust is knowing that information, energy, and Spirit refer to the nature of consciousness, both as Universal consciousness and Individual consciousness. While it may not be conclusively defined or scientifically understood, we can see the results of this great connection to all that is and the infinite wisdom, love, and limitless power throughout history and life experiences. We can trust that it works…and that it works for us. Do you trust the energy that turns on the light when you flip the switch? You may not understand how that energy is transmitted through the wires to the filaments in the bulb that light the light but when the power is on, you trust that light happens! Create this as a visual for yourself as you connect to information, energy, spirit. The power is on and spirit as energy as information is flowing through the wires into your thoughts to create the connection and facilitate the authentic reading.
Trust the Client
Your reading client is in front of you and they may be feeling vulnerable. They allow you to move around their personal space. They may imagine the psychic-medium as plucking, squeezing and pulling out old dark secrets, yet there they sit there, trusting what you say. They trust that we are there for good, that we are offering the best we have to aid them in their personal journey, whatever that may be. Give that person your trust in the commitment to the good in intention and service and it will be repaid over and over again.
Engage the Trust!
Wave your hand high to answer the call to deliver Spirit information in a good and high-quality service. Fly like you have no need for a net to catch you if you fall. Go past the NO of doubt and fear from those past experiences and speak with abandon. Put your trust in the Energy…and your energy in the Trust…of yourself, your intention, your education, and Spirit energy information.
